Secret Versions

Ennote provides version control for your secrets, allowing you to track changes over time and revert to previous versions if needed. This is crucial for maintaining an audit trail and ensuring that you can recover from accidental modifications or deletions.

Automatic versioning

Whenever you modify a secret, Ennote automatically creates a new version. This ensures that you have a complete history of all changes made to your secrets. Each version is timestamped and includes information about the user who made the modification.

Version limits

The number of versions you can store for each secret depends on your Ennote.io subscription plan. Higher-tier plans typically offer more version history. You can find details about version limits on the pricing page.

Actions on versions

View Content:You can view the content of any previous version of a secret.
Revert:You can revert to a previous version at any time. For example, if the current version of your secret is 3, and you revert to version 2, the secret will update to reflect the content of version 2, but version 3 will still remain in the version history.
One-Time Share:You can generate a one-time share link for a specific version of a secret. This allows you to share the secret with someone without granting them ongoing access.
